and we look forward to seeing you in the future someway-somehow.
In the meantime, we have put together a final string of shows including
one last Appleton Blowout.

Hey now!!!!! What's going on everybody?Sorry
It's been so long. A lot of craziness on the Dubs' end lately. Octoberfest
was a blast that nearly lost us a lot of equipment thanks to an
untimely downpour. The Cool Waters faithful prooved that you can
still party in the rain (even if it is coming down sideways!) Stevens
Point was AWESOMES!!! (lol). Halloween, what can I say but YMCA?

That was easily our best crowd at Fratellos in Oshkosh. We'll see
you again in January. Last weekend saw a cameo from Shane Harwicke
on the keys. We reminded that boy how to party. Good times. Alot
of you have been asking about New Years... yes Jimmy Seas it is!!!
Tix will go on sale soon in conjunction with hotel discounts. First
dibs go to all on the email list. Sign up on the home page. Also,
I've just been informed that all of our CDs are 10% online for the
Holiday Season. You can find the catalog here.
November finds us with a bit of a break, but we'll se you all in
December. Be Good.

Hello from BarkerBiter and I. It's about time
we start getting some nice weather in these parts!! Nice day for
a drive.
Well, it's official. We will be at 10K
Lakes this summer. No details yet, but we'll keep you posted.
Should be one of our summer's highlights. Also, keep your eye out
for Booze Cruise tickets. They should go on sale within the next
couple of weeks. There will only be 80 tickets available this year.
However, I don't see why we can't get a whole chain of boats this
year. If you are to late ingetting a ticket, just go out and buy
a boat and c'mon along!! LaX and WI Rapids this weekend. See you
there - bring the new boat... It's supposed to be nice.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have this upcoming weekend off to drink eggnog and brandy with
our families. Should be a good time. Last weekend was definitely
an unforgettable weekend in dubs history. Friday was the WAPL Christmas
Bash. Here are some pictures
from the night if you couldn't make it.
Saturday night at Saucy's in Manty may have been the most fun we
have had there yet... If you haven't been to a show in Manty, you
might want to take a little road trip next time.
Another note... we just got another review for "A Rose Pedal
to the Metal" from The
Shepherd Express out of Milwaukee. Check it out! One last thing,
if you want to attend our New Year's show, all you have to do is
call and reserve tickets... The phone # is at this link.

Its
been a while since the last time anyone has written. Alot has happend
since then. First off I have never had a month with only three shows
in it but was busier than ever. Congratulations are in order for
Greg and Sara Waters, they know how to throw one hell of a party.
Nasty hangovers and flashbacks of Dan in a bridesmaids dress made
the month very interesting.
The summer is gone and were back to work if you can call it that.
Manti still knows how to play foosball, they also can drink. ALWAYS
A BLAST! Once again we had our west coast trip to Winona and LaCrosse.
It is amazing that a bar clan close at 1am and I just as drunk as
I would be at 2:30. Thanks to everyone in Winona for making Thurs
worth the price of gas. Also thanks for the bus trip to LaCrosse.
Stevens Point and October fest are right around the corner. We Look
forward to seeing everyone out.

Hello everyone,
Haven't written in a little while now. 1st off... Thanx to midwestbands.com.
They are 1 of few who wrote a review for "A Rose Petal to the
Metal". Most places that review albums will not give us the
time of day because we are not on a record label. Click here
to read their review. 2nd off... Sweet cruise ride in 'Paca. I apologize
to anybody who couldn't make it. We will be looking into doing this
next year as well. The Afro juice seemed like a big success considering
it was dry about a half hour into the adventure. The deviled eggs...
I made those too... the funny thing is, I hid a Bacardi-soaked cherry
in 2 eggs and was going to give away 2 can coozies to whoever ate
them. Unfortunately just before I was going to make the announcement
about the "surprise eggs", they were GONE! Still never
found out who got them. I owe you a can coozie!!!! Ha Ha! Until
next time, may the summer never end!!!!

Happy 4th everyone! Crazy weekend so far.
Friday, a few of us went down to Milwaukee to see the Black Crowes.
My ears are still ringing. Great Show. Saturday - off to Wenzlerfest.
Despite, being in the dark on the whole day's events and whereabouts,
we a good ole' time. Sunday - an intended day of rest....yeah right!
A lazy day somehow transformed into a cookout at my pad, vodka-soaked
fruit, fireworks, live music, ball-busting, and plenty of entertainment
from Missy J. and Rudy James Barkerbiter (my hound dog). I hope
your weekend was as fun and exhausting as mine. See you at the cruise
(a few tickets still available). If you are free this Friday, take
a ride to Waupaca to catch the CD release show of the Greg Waters
- Mark Little Band. We play from 9 to 10.

YES... thanx to everyone who came out to the
acoustic show at Barley @ hops last night. We had a great time and
also learned a lot playing together. It went so well that our "secret
fox valley show" on June 11 may also be dabbled with acoustic
instruments. By the way, here is a hint to the "secret show".....
ready..... are you sure...... it's just a hint!!!!!!!!!! don't tell!!!!!!!!
the hint is........ bup ytic repap ...... oh, I forgot to tell you
that I am dyslexic.
About the cruise in Waupaca on July 9, WE NEED TO SELL TICKETS IN

$20 x however many tickets you want to Dan Waters 911 Irish Rd.

If anybody is wondering about Wenzlerfest on July 2, you should

others. So far, we are headlining! So get your tents out and let's
go camping!!!!!!!!!! If you want to get a site please call 507-313-3291.

Ahoy Matees!
Giddy up on a sweet rock n rollin' CD release party at Sluggers
on Saturday. Thanks for making it fun for us! We hope that we did
the same for you. Thanx also to Verona Grove from good ol' Fondy
for opening the show. You can see them down at Mill Creek on a regular
basis. Here is a link to some pictures of the night if you were
not there or you just want to see some cool shots... http://wiparty.com/Photos/040905/index.htm
see you at the next rock n roll show,
DW
PS. For anybody who wants a CD and couldn't
get one at the show, we are selling them at Exclusive Co. in Appleton.(As
well as at all of our live shows) Also, we would like to get this
album into as many stores as possible throughout Wisconsin and the
midwest, so if you are not from the Appleton area and you have any
ideas where we can sell our CD's, please contact danwaters76@aol.com.
This would help us out quite a bit being an independant band.

Whooooooaaa nellie! Springtime is almost here. That also means fun
outdoor shows are right around the corner too. One in particular
is Cool Waters Band's cruise around the Chain o Lakes in Waupaca.
This will be a crazy party. We will be jamming 2 sets on the cruise
and we will have cheap tickets.($20-$25) We will be supplying the
barrel(s) of brew and some of my world famous "Lionel Richie's
Afro Juice!" For those of you who don't know what Lionel Richie's
Afro juice is, it is a strategic blend of different forms of liquid
courage formulated to make the hairs stand up on your arms. The
college kids these days sometime refer to it as WAPATOOLI! Giddy
UP!!! 1st 90 people to sign up are going. Oh, and no Bradley, we
can't put you on "the list" the day of the cruise. So
if you want to go, e-mail ME!
It is July 9th.
Also, the 25th WAMI awards are coming up soon. The WAMI's are like
the Wisconsin grammy's. We did not get nominated for a WAMI this
year. BUT!!!! There is something that can be done about this. There
is one WAMI still undecided and it is the "people's choice
award". Please click this
link and vote for us! Scroll down the WAMI page until you see
the people's choice award. Click the link and vote for your favorite
band in each region of the state. After the initial page, you don't
have to vote for any more categories. Just skip through to the "submit"
page. Let your friends know also. The People's Choice Award means
a lot more to us than something given out by a panel. See y'all
at a CD release party (April 9)!

Hello all!
The last few weeks have been quite hectic and mucho productive in
Cool Waters land. The new album is actually on pace to be released
in APRIL!!!!!! This project is coming along much better than anticipated
and we can't wait until y'all get a chance to hear it. It will consist
of about 10-12 tracks of quite diverse material ranging from "in-your
face rock n' roll" to "honky tonkin good times" to
"emotional ditys" to "epic-like jammers". A
few of the songs will not be heard until the album is released,
which we have never done in the past. We have been getting quite
antsy and will be showcasing about half of the album's material
at our upcoming shows, so come out and bring a friend or 5. February
26th will be another Slugger's experience. Our friends from Minneapolis
will be opening the show. They are one of the best live acts I have
ever seen!!! No shit... They are called The White Iron Band and
they will be at Mill Creek the night before so go check 'em out
if you get a chance. You won't regret it. They play outlaw rock
n roll with great harmonies and they are all brilliant musicians
taboot! One last thing... There were lots of Manty folks that made
it to the Milwaukee last weekend. Thanx for coming. It means quite
a bit to us knowing that people are willing to travel to check out
a show. In the future, if anybody is traveling more than an hour
to a show, please contact me and I will hook you up with free tickets
to the show. Hope to see you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greetings,
Hope all is well in 2005. Cool Waters is in the process of writing
yet another chapter! Although the band has lost a good keyboard
player and great friend(yes, Shane is alive and well), this synergistic
power we call the Cool Waters Band seems to be rapidly growing.
While normal people have been indoors keeping warm, snuggling with
their pets and stuffed animals the past week, the dubs has been
knocking out new song after new song in our beautiful space-heater
infested storage garage. We all can't wait to hit the studio in
a couple weeks, and are confident that this will be our best project
to date. Right now we are shooting to have the project out by April/May.
Until the next show... Later dubbers!!!!!!!!
Dan

We
have been hearing rumors that the band is breaking up. Sorry, not
yet. In fact, we are planning to go into the studio at the end of
this month to begin a new album. We would like to confirm, however;
that Shane Hardwicke will no longer be playing keys with us. We
wish him the best in all his future endeavors. -GW

"The Night Before Christmas"
by Poet Laureate and Saxophonist,
Rick
Rajchel
'Twas the weekend before Christmas, and all
through the state;
our
fans kept saying "Wow, you guys are really great!"
All the instruments were set on the stage with great care,
hoping that big dude in Milwaukee wouldn't fall off his chair;
The rowdies got on stage, but stood near the edge,
and we tried not to laugh when they fell on their heads;
Matt in his Polo Sweater, Greg in his shirt with the snaps,
the fans finishing every song with very loud claps;
We drove to Manty to raise some Rock N Roll Clatter,
but the cops never showed, so it didn't really matter;
Lots of fun people, and lots of cool dudes,
and Dan's amp made it through the weekend without needing new tubes;
Levi was just groovin' with that funky Fender Bass,
but why does Shane always make that weird face;
Rickers squeaked on his sax while trying to wail,
and some people drank enough that they looked a little pale;
Now Danimal, now Shane-O, now Beaver, now Matt,
On Gregovich, on Rickers, hope we don't forget the map;
I should end this soon, as it's starting to drag,
so to find out any more, you'll have to come to the Checkered Flag,
The beer will be flowin' and the booze mixers too,
but without our fans we wouldn't know what to do;
New years Eve, with our hometown crowd, what a wonderful sight,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night.
12-06-04
Happy Holidays-
Well now that the snow's finally here I need to let everyone know
about some weekend indoor activities that you can all participate
in. The band decided to take off for a couple of the first weekends
in December so we can get everything in order for the end of the
month. First things first, ya'll should call the hotline for New
Year's Eve tickets at the Checkered Flag. 920-830-2510. Looks like
this is gonna be the biggest DUBS blowout in history. There's all
the food and drink that you can put down your hatch over the course
of the evening and we've got an entertainment bonanza in store for
the evening. We also have a very special guest bass player that's
gonna lay down the low end for at least one song, and nobody's gonna
want to miss it.
As for the rest of the month, we'll be back down at the Up and Under
in Milwaukee for the first time in a couple of months. If you haven't
been there, its a great room in the heart of the nightlife district
on Brady street. The beer is delicious and there is after-bar food
right around the block. The next night (December 18th) we're gonna
be up at Saucy's in Manitowoc for some Manty Christmas fun. Hard
to believe its already been two years since we met that rowdy crew
from the east side of the state. I recall watching a wrestling match
on top of a Christmas tree in what was once a nice apartment.
And the most extraordinary date we have planned for the month is
two nights at the Chippewa Island Resort and Casino in Harris, Michigan.
We're playing five 40 minute sets each night in the lounge at the
casino. Its a Wednesday and Thursday night and it'll be just in
time for Mattie G. to spend all of his Christmas money at the Blackjack
table. I'll be playing the nickel slots with Levi in between sets.
If anyone is looking for some pre-holiday cheer, come join us for
the duration.
That's all for now, I'll check back in when there's enough snow
to go skiing on.
Eat. Drink. Rock. Sleep.
Be good- shane
11-15-04
Happy Turkey Day everyone! Its been an exciting few weeks for the
band as we played the release for the Mill Creek/Budweiser/Rock
Garden Studio compilation this past weekend. If you have not had
a chance to hear the cd, I highly recommend picking it up soon.
There are some great tunes on it and its really a nice album in
terms of variety and and keeping interest. I haven't taken it out
of my car since I got my copy.
We had a riot on the Rick and Len show at WAPL last Wednesday. We
played a mean game of "Race Horse, Porn Star or Band"
as well as doing our very best 9 a.m. versions of "They Can't
Take It", "Hey Alright" and Zeppelin's "Good
Times, Bad Times". Hope you all tuned in. They are still playing
"On My Mind" in their regular rotation as well so feel
free to call them up and bug 'em to play it. Long live independent
radio!
So the engagement bug must be in the air. Longtime DUBS friends
Lisa and Shannon announced thier plans for lifelong commitment on
the guestbook last week. Congratulations guys. Looking forward to
seeing you soon.
Speaking of, we're coming back to Manitowoc on December 18th, and
we can't wait to have a Christmas hoedown with the kind folks from
Manty. Hey Garza, you planning the after-bar? Jeff, shots are on
me this time.
Lots of news coming up about the New Year's show. You can purchase
your tickets already, and I highly recommend getting them in advance....as
well as a hotel room. This is gonna be the best night of the year.
Hope everyone is enjoying the bleak Wisconsin scenery. And remember
that the best way to celebrate your succesful deer hunt this weekend
is by going to the French Quarter and raising hell.
Until next time.
Be good- Shane

Happy November everyone, time to start getting in the mindset for
the winter breeze. Things are exciting as always here at the C-Dubs
camp. First and foremost, we'd like to extend a warm congratulations
to Greg Dub and his someday bride to be Sarah on their recent engagement.
Word on the street is that Greg has saved every dollar that he ever
made from playing music over the past ten years with CWB and as
of last week he could finally afford the down payment for a beautiful
diamond ring! Just takes a little time and patience. A date has
not been set yet, but a true blowout should prove to be in the future.
Stay tuned, and wish the happy couple a congratulations if you see
them.
IN case you missed it, the past couple of weekend have proved to
be quite interesting. Among the happenings: Ricker in a spandex
white jumpsuit, Dan not washing his golden locks of hair for way
too long, and Mattie G. wearing a fake mustache....only two weeks
after shaving a real mustache! Weird. Levi was pounding a couple
of drinks back too, but has yet to be promoted to drunk of the week.
I guess he's in a tough crowd to win that award. And yes, that was
Amy McMillan at the PCP on Saturday evening. Feels like years since
we've seen her happy smile roaming around.
On more business like matters, the band is doing some cool stuff
coming up. The release of "On My MInd" has been garnering
a lot of attention at WAPL and around the FOX cites, Thanks to all
for supporting it and letting us know how you feel. We will be in
the WAPL studio on Wednesday, November 10th at 8 a.m. to play some
tunes on RIck and Len's morning show. If you're up at that hour,
tune in and check it out. We are also starting to plan for what
will hopefully be the best New Year's Eve bash in history. We're
playing the Checkered Flag in Appleton and we have an itinerary
of absurd things for everyones enjoyment. Get your tickets well
in advance and start telling your friends, neighbors and mothers.
I'll be in touch here from week to week with more to inform you
about. Feel free to shout out a hello on the guestbook, let us know
what you're all up to. Be good.
